Kate Bosworth Topshop Festival Style

Just in time for this summer’s music festival season, Topshop is launching an interactive campaign called Topshop Festival. Inspired by the energy of the ever-growing popularity of British music festivals and its fashion, the campaign includes music, movies and, of course, must-have products. Even better, Topshop turned to Kate Bosworth—a Coachella devotee who’s always embraced the festival fashion trend—to help create some items for the collection. It’s not a collaboration, per say, but more of a Bosworth-approved edit of the Topshop Festival collection.

Working with the Topshop design team, Bosworth created items that extend the actress’s style and work hand in hand with the Topshop brand. The special 21-piece collection consists of signature pieces ranging from neon printed shorts, fur lined vests, gladiator sandals and even feathered wings. And before you click through to our gallery of all the Topshop Festival items—you may have already seen them: Bosworth wore many of the items at this year’s Coachella festival. Read more »

Target announces latest designer collaboration with 3.1 Phillip Lim

Comments

Here’s some morning news to get the blood flowing. Target has announced its latest designer collaboration and it’s a biggie: 3.1 Phillip Lim! Excitement. Lim’s wears have been high on the covet list since launching his line in 2005, but lately, his It factor seems to be soaring—his bags reached icon status last year (a good indicator that you’ve made it, in label speak) and his Spring 2013 collection virtually defined the season’s grunge trend alongside seasoned mastermind, Dries Van Noten.

The 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection will launch in Canada on September 15 (our first full fledged Target designer collab!) and will feature a sure-to-be-amazing range of clothing, accessories, handbags and travel pieces for women and men “on the go.” It’s a pretty vague description at this point, but anyone who lusted after Lim’s “I Heart Nueva York” printed T-shirts this season would know that we’re safe to expect great things.

“Since an early age, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of design evolution,” said Lim via Target press release. “One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is modern and chic, but still very accessible.”

Accessible for the fashion crowd, yes, but prices reportedly top Target’s typical price points. According to the Huffington Post, the 100+ piece collection will range as high as $250-$300 for leather jackets, but hey, they also start at $20. Seems A-ok to us.

Fashion By Age

Or see fashion by age: IN YOUR 20s | IN YOUR 30s| IN YOUR 40s | IN YOUR 50s | IN YOUR 60s | IN YOUR 70s

How important is it to dress age appropriately? This is a question that, when asked, will generate a variety of different answers.
