For a young, aspiring business, a 5-year anniversary is something worth applauding. But when you’ve had as much success as bohemian jewellery label Dannijo has had in their first 5 years of existence then you’ve really got something to celebrate. In honour of their lucky number 5, Danielle and Jodie Snyder, the sister act behind the NYC based business, have announced a limited-edition anniversary capsule collection featuring six of their most coveted bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

Dannijo tweeted their excitement over their big day: “It’s our birthday! We’re celebrating with a limited-edition collection.” At $295 to $425 the pieces are priced slightly lower than the brand’s average, encouraging their fans to indulge in the colourful celebratory bling. A black and white version of their adored Lovisa earrings are part of the collection, as well as a gold version their basic Etta bib necklace. The glamorous Darby necklace, the resort-ready Margaux bracelet, the day-to-night Elena necklace and the delicate pastel coloured Ava earrings are also included in the collection, which is sure to be as successful as anything else the sisters touch.

Toronto original Club Monaco has announced plans to launch its first-ever shoe collection due this August. Our opinion? It’s about time!

As serious fans of the sophisticated retailer, we couldn’t be more excited for the line which promises 25 Italian-made styles which will come in everything from snakeskin to pony hair. In terms of design, think pointed-toe flats, smoking slippers and pumps in neutral solids, exotic prints and metallics. We’re sure the collection will go perfectly with the renowned brand’s polished and classic separates.

The company, who has tweeted excitement over the announcement saying it “couldn’t be happier,” is already planning ahead for next spring.

The relatively wallet friendly price range of $198 to $395 puts the shoes in the same price category as Sarah Jessica Parker’s impending footwear line for Manolo Blahnik.

Club Monaco has teased us with a sneak peak of some of the soon-to-be-available footwear. To see the rest, we’ll have to wait till August when the shoes will hit the shelves at Club Monaco’s Bloor Street location in Toronto as well as a selection of their New York locations. And if these locations are out of the way, not to worry, the entire collection will be available online.

With the rise in popularly of its newly released duffle (it’s been spotted on the arms of Beyoncé, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss to name a few), Saint Laurent Paris will add to its range of covetable accessories with its first sunglasses collection under the new branding.

Under the direction of Hedi Slimane, who has helmed the label since March 2012, Saint Laurent has since been striving for a more understated elegance and discreet branding in comparison to former creative Stefano Pilati, whose elaborate designs were credited with bringing the house’s accessories to the forefront of the It bag cult.

The sunglasses collection features a range of styles in Slimane’s signature black, with rosegold, gold and black acetate frame tints. They will no doubt fit into the new creative director’s streamlined aesthetic along with the bags. Simple, sleek and the perfect offset to Slimane’s grunge heavy Fall 2013 collection, the sunglasses will must haves come next season.

With the one-month countdown the Calgary Stampede starting this week, it’s time to start thinking of what to wear to the event now affectionately known by those who know as “the greatest outdoor show on earth.” We’re thinking denim, plaid and, of course, the symbolic white hat.
