An affair to remember

Glowing skin, twinkling eyes and a voice that purrs–there is nothing as addictive as the rush of a new crush. After all, whether you are a sparkler-wearing Mrs. or a single seeking kisses, every lovely needs a little something sensuous (man or latest must-have) to make her heart go all a flutter. But the question du jour remains: Should a modern-day minx wear her heart on her stylish sleeves?
Like fashion trends, love (and even lust) are all about taking risks. Sometimes they are calculated and sometimes you’re simply throwing caution to the wind. Designer Diane Von Furstenberg once said that she has learned two valuable things in life: “That fear is not an option and you must be honest with yourself.” So, in the true spirit of stoking those passionate February fires, go on and think outside of the Tiffanys box. Chirp carpe diem! Repeat often–and everywhere. In stores: carpe diem, and nab Fendi’s new foldover clutch. On subways: carpe diem, and nab the last seat in the crowded car. And definitely for scene-stealing kisses: carpe diem, and nab a little face time with Mr. Right or even Mr. Right-Here-Right-Now.
My dear Valentine’s vixens, now is the time to pull up your Balenciaga bootstraps and brazenly wear your haute hearts on your sleeves, around your neck and even lovingly on your lobes. You will instantly evoke elegance, sophistication and charm. Oh, and don’t forget to pull out your sexiest little number in cherry, fire engine or candy apple red. As the late designer Bill Blass always said, “When in doubt, wear red.”
