Labour Day pains

There is something so easy and effortless about summer dressing. Throw on a cute floral dress, stack a few bangles, slip into a fabulous sandal and out the door you go.
Don’t get me wrong, I adore fall—the foliage, and most definitely the fashion. Think blazers, tartan, sweater dresses, opaque tights and slick, glossy accessories. But never fear my darling fashionistas, this season, designers have thrown out all the old après-summer rules (like no white after Labour Day) and infused a little warm weather style into their fall ready-to-wear collections. What’s the point of following the rules if you can’t break them every once in a while? I say have your cake (flourless chocolate, of course) and your pretty pastels too.
