How do you feel about high tops?

I’ve been staring at this photo of the new KangaRoos bright-white-and-neon Skywalkers ($85, kangaroos.com) for the last two weeks and I’m torn. I really don’t know how I feel about them.
On one hand, they seem more at home on someone wearing skinny jeans and going to ’80s nights on College St. On the other hand, I sort of love them. I love the crazy neon and the little pocket where I can stow the house key I’m always leaving in my other purse. I could never pull them off, but I’m happy to admire and be nostalgic for my neon pink and green L.A. Gear flames.
I would wear these Magnolias ($80), however.
What do you think? Are you digging high-top sneaks? Is it possible to pull them off unironically? Tell me in the comments!
