A Marc by Marc tote and the Fashion’s Night Out tee among Holts’ charitable fall offerings
Holt Renfrew has a few charitably-minded initiatives up their sleeves for fall, including putting the Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt on shelves at their Bloor Street store. (They’re the only Canadian retailer to carry it). Proceeds from the $25 tee, which will be on sale until September 20, go to CANFAR (canfar.ca) and the New York AIDS Fund (nyccommunitytrust.org).
Also coming up this fall are two limited edition collaborations that will be exclusive to Holts. In November, the department store is releasing a merino wool toque ($50) created by the near ubiquitous outwear brand Canada Goose to benefit Polar Bear International (polarbearsinternational.org), which helps in the preservation of polar bear habitats. But the real hot ticket will be an exclusive Marc by Marc Jacobs tote ($48), printed with the MMJ logo arranged as an eye doctor’s chart–proceeds benefit Vision Spring (visionspring.org), a non-profit that provides low-cost eyeglasses to the developing world. Holts hopes to raise $80,000 with the nylon bag, which comes in pink, blue, white and black. It’ll be on sale from September 30 to October 10 (you can reserve on holtrenfrew.com starting Tuesday), but this is a get them while they’re hot situation.
