Inside downtown Toronto’s first Marshalls location: Gucci, Nike, Roxy and more flood the racks inside what used to be clubland’s hottest spot

Marshalls John Street Lead

Check out the first downtown Toronto Marshalls

The doors at 126 John St. in Toronto have been shut for two years until Marshalls—an American version of our beloved Winners—reopened them. After the downfall of Peter Gatien’s mega-club/mega-maze, C!RCA, no one knew what to expect from the ridiculously large space until now.

The first downtown location (there are over a dozen other locations in Ontario) of Marshalls spans two floors and occupies 29,000 square feet of off-price designer goods and a whole lot of deals.

The space is neatly organized into sections to make the extremely large white, bright, and royal blue store seem less overwhelming and a more reasonable place to shop. The first floor holds shoes, accessories, and womenswear, which has brands running the gamut from Gucci to Nike to Kenneth Cole in the shoe section, and accessories from Nixon to Roxy to Cynthia Rowley. And that was just the day we checked it out.

Marshalls get new stock every week making upping the chances of the ultimate designer score more possible. The top floor has been divvied up into menswear, kids, teens, outerwear, and athletic gear. Basically, if you brought an entire family to Marshalls, everyone would have a place to hang and shop. Also, the line to the cash register is lined with snacks (!!!) and little knick-knacks that you’ll see and be like “I really need this.”

So, what are you waiting for? Start running to those sales (and snacks)!
