The daily steal: Tom Wolfe novel, $18

Welcome to the Daily Steal, our editors’ picks for the best deals in fashion, beauty, culture and health.
Yes, I’m a terrible reader. What can I say? I was raised watching music videos and I’m a Gemini. But these days, I long for my daily commute just so I can delve into Tom Wolfe‘s 1979 book The Right Stuff ($18, Picador Press). This breathtaking look back on the race to reach outer space is exhaustive in research, and oh so romantic in its depiction of silly, neurotic, bad boy pilots, and for all the machismo, I’m no less enthralled. An ideal stocking stuffer for the boy in your life.
