Ever since I spied the five customized shades of grey Creative Nail Design mixed up backstage at Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 show, I have been fantasizing about adorning my own hands with some–specifically the charcoal hue. Until CND releases them (please, please make it happen), I’ll tide myself over with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in “Commander in Chic” ($6, at drugstores). With no brown undertones (I’m so over taupe), this rich hue looks divinely smoky in some light, darkly mauve in others. Smitten.
