The daily steal: Bomber jacket, $49
Canadian weather puts a larger-than-average strain on one’s outwear resources. We must have several lengths, weights and fabrics at the ready in case it is either warm, frigid or rainy–or all three–that particular day. This grey faux-leather bomber from Joe Fresh Style ($49, joe.ca) isn’t going to change any of that, but it just so happens to be perfect for the conditions outside my door this very second.

This is a cute jacket, but as far from the original, vintage bomber jackets as it is possible to get. Authentic bomber jackets were made of goatskin and horse hide!
It just goes to show what a huge impression those flight jackets continue to make on fashions. Indeed, in 2010 apparel influenced by bomber jackets were to be seen on all the runways from Paris to New York.
