Toronto Fashion Week: Day two

The beat goes on
Shown: ET Canada’s Kim D’Eon and Cheryl Hickey at the Heart Truth Cocktail.
Day two of Toronto Fashion Week was off and running last night, starting at the Heart Truth Fashion Show for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, where some Canadian femmes strutted their fabulousness down the runway in red dresses by our fave local designers, such as, Pink Tartan and Comrags.
At the swank cocktail reception following the show guests, such as Project Runway Canada’s Lucian Matis and Evan Biddell, Olympic athlete Charmaine Crooks and Tyler MacCleod, publicist for the highly discussed documentary, Sharkwater, noshed on the buffet style food, including roast beef and salads, and imbibed in a specialty red raspberry martini. Canadian Idol winner Eva Avila showed up in her fave designer, Tevrow+Chase, while comedian Catherine O’Hara seemed to take it all in stride after taking a tumble on the catwalk. Also spotted in the well-heeled crowd, Corner Gas’ Nancy Robertson, Entertainment Tonight Canada’s Kim D’Eon and Cheryl Hickey (who mentioned a possible October wedding date with her beau), Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic from The Shopping Bags and Tanya Kim of eTalk.
Back at the tents we were lucky enough to score seats at the highly anticipated Bustle show. Aside from all the gorgeous guys in fabulous clothing, model Stacey McKenzie, who was behind the black jack table for the entire collection, stole the show walking the runway in a tailored menswear suit as the finale. At the after party at Lobby, the Grey Goose was flowing, as MTV’s Dan Levy and Jessi Cruickshank held court at the cozy soiree. We ended the night at the Drake Hotel, natch, at the afterparty for Joeffer Caoc and Philip Sparks. Thankfully, it was then time to rest our tired toes in preparation for Greta Constantine’s show the following night at CiRCA. Only two more days to go!
