A night on the stylishly-shod town

Although the weather is still playing some not-so-nice tricks on us, thankfully for yours truly the spring party season is in full, fashionable swing. Case in point, this fashionable girl popped by two very different, but very chic soirees last night.

Jessica Brownstein and Ben Mulroney
First stop was the Browns/Italy at Your Feet fete, where the lovely Brownstein family presented their latest in fine Italian footwear, along with a funky DJ, champers and hors d’oeuvres. Even with loads of people descending on the Bloor Street store, including the adorable Ben Mulroney and Jessica Brownstein, Canadian Idol judge Jake Gold and his wife, the F-List’s Leesa Butler, somehow the event seemed to be quite a fun and cosy affair. Chalk it up to the good karma that surrounds this fashion clan.

About an hour later, the lovely Susie Sheffman and I made our way to Holt Renfrew to drool over footwear master Roger Viver’s archives, as well as the impossibly gorgeous muse-to-everyone, Inès de la Fressange. How does one exude such natural style in a pair of casual beige pants, Viver flats and a simple black top? To say I was envious would be an understatement! Spotted at the low-key event was a Toronto Star fashion contingent, Derick Chetty and David Graham (who made recounted a recent trek up Mount Kilimanjaro, inspiring further pangs of jealousy), the lovely Natalie Lecomte and Jennifer Daubney of Holts, as well as writer Jane Apor and Zoomer’s Suzanne Boyd.
