SNP’s word of the day: .xxx

Word: .xxx
Meaning: the new domain name dot-suffix intended for porn websites
Usage: “.xxx domain names help users find porn, but can they also help block porn?” — the Huffington Post, being its usual middle America–baiting self
You should know it because: All .xxx domain names not already owned by pornographers and such went on general sale yesterday, prompting a mad rush among businesses, politicians, and stars to buy their names (eg. WholeFoods.xxx, SarahPalin.xxx) and protect their reps (unless someone is making a Sarah Palin fetish site, which is like a whole new episode of American Horror Story). I’ve been amusing myself for at least 15 minutes by guessing which celebs have .xxx names (all the Kardashians) and which don’t (the non-Alec Baldwins). And, ladies, I’ve found a massive hole in the system: RyanGosling.xxx isn’t taken (as of press time). Now I know, for sure, capitalism has failed!
