Kate Middleton spends the weekend in Switzerland at a friends’ wedding

Kate Middleton fans got quite the treat this weekend when the Duke and Duchess of Cambirdge showed up on a mountain in Arosa, Switzerland. The pair—plus Prince Harry—were in town for the wedding of their friends Mark Tomlinson and Laura Bechtolsheimer. (He’s a professional polo player, she’s an Olympic gold medal winning equestrian (nbd!) and they both attended William and Kate’s wedding.) The royals spent Friday on the Swiss slopes, clearly taking advantage of the private ski lift at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel resort, conveniently owned by the bride’s billionaire grandfather. (Again, nbd!) But while everyone else opted to go skiing, pregnant Kate spent her time sledding.
On Saturday we got another glimpse of the Duke and Duchess en route to the wedding. Kate was wearing a cream coat, brown James Lock & Co. Hat (last seen on St. Patrick’s Day), a fur collar and a brown clutch and brown suede shoes, both by Emmy. Under the coat—of which the designer is unknown—Kate had on an animal-print MaxMara dress. Perhaps one day we’ll see the Duchess wearing the dress sans overcoat.
It’s also worth nothing that when Kate has worn unidentifiable items in the past they’ve turned out to be pieces she’s had custom made—with much speculation that she’s the one doing the designing. But the eagle-eyed readers of What Kate Wore and HRH Duchess Kate still seem to be on the hunt for the designer of this coat, so only time will tell if it is indeed a Kate Middleton creation or in fact something available to the masses that will surely sell out moments after it’s identified.
