Taylor Swift vs. Kaley Cuoco: Who wore it best on the Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet?
Country music award shows have the tendency to bring out a whole lot of glitz—heavy on the glamour. And while last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards definitely had a few very, err, colourful gowns (we’re looking at you, Carrie Underwood) Taylor Swift and Kaley Cuoco both showed how simpler is often better.
Taylor Swift was looking sassy as ever and refused to flash a genuine smile while walking the carpet in a gunmetal Dolce & Gabbana column dress. Her gown had large embellishments at the neckline making her have no need for any accessories except for a simple pair of drop earrings. She toned down her beauty look and pulled her hair back into a low ponytail with a soft smoky eye and a nude lip.
Kaley Cuoco, on the other hand, wore a BCBG black halter top column gown with sheer detailing that showed off her curves. Instead of keeping it simple in terms of beauty like T.Swift, Cuoco opted for a major smoky eye and a sky-high Miley Cyrus-esque pompadour. Cuoco may not be a country musician or a musician of any sort, but she outshined many of the attendees with her dress choice and simple accessories.
