Attention gamines: Paco Rabanne is back! The legendary ‘60s house is launching its ready-to-wear line with Manish Arora at the helm. [Huffingtonpost]

Attack of the leggings! Aritzia opens its first US outpost in Soho this weekend, a temporary shop until the flagship opens in May. [Racked]

You might have thought Kate Moss’s engagement ring from longtime boyfriend and The Kills front man Jamie Hince would look more like a skull and crossbones. Actually it’s a fairly conservative vintage cut. [Safm]

Sure to inspire teenage boys for years to come, Farrah Fawcett’s famed red bathing suit is heading to the Smithsonian. [Laist]

Daily Steal

When winter is in full swing there is no word that is music to my ears more than cashmere. This ultra cozy Talula poncho is equal parts cheap and chic and would look great paired with a pair of leggings and some sleek riding boots. ($115, Aritzia.com)

While the cut of this Talula dress ($85, aritzia.com) is very simple, the winter garden print makes it stand out.

Warm up with Aritzia’s Olympic line

Zipping around the city on the Canada Line is a convenient, but inevitably cold, wet experience. Enter this faux fur-lined trapper hat ($60) from Park Life for Aritzia, one of the most stylish (and my personal favourite) licensed collections for the Games. Other, equally warm picks from the line include the dolman sleeve tops with Aboriginal art screen-prints and the cotton tees and track jackets bearing the logos of past Olympics–I’m especially happy to see a throwback to my hometown games, Calgary 1988.

Spotted: Strolling Queen Street West

Wearing: A coat from Aritzia, an Old Navy cotton shirt, H&M pants, shoes from Sears and a Chloé clutch.

Why: She’s proof positive that looking polished doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.  It’s all about the mix! Black basics topped with a camel coat and frizz-free waves are so simple, yet so stylish!

The steal: Wilfred’s faux-leather leggings

oct09wilfredSo much for not shopping! I blew that big time when I deked out of work early recently to hit Aritzia (aritzia.com).  I am absolutely blown away by their in-house Wilfred line.  I’ve been watching it for a few seasons but WOW has it ever exploded–great styling and just the prices I’m willing to shell out for all the season’s “it” pieces.
