At the press conference for The Invention of Lying, the film’s stars Rob Lowe, Jennifer Garner and Ricky Gervais, weighed in on the Kanye honesty outburst at this year’s MTV VMAs. “I’m sorry, that’s not honesty, that’s just bad manners,” said Garner. [Toronto Life]

Neil Young has sent his regrets to Toronto, and his replacement for the free Yonge-Dundas Square show will be Toronto’s The Carpet Frogs. I think we can all agree that Drew Barrymore’s Alexander McQueen dress at the Whip It premiere was gorgeous (Check out our pics!). Seriously–just look at that lace. She’s also been sporting a recently acquired dip-dyed hair do–an homage to roller derby girls. What do you think?

Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, the roller derby flick Whip It, made its world premiere last night at the Toronto International Film Festival. Barrymore hit the red carpet in a lemon yellow Alexander McQueen with gothy lace overlay. More pics from the premiere after the jump. Read more »

The highly anticipated HBO movie Grey Gardens—based on the 1975 documentary of the same name—will be blossoming onto TV screens on April 18. Vivian Baker was Drew Barrymore’s makeup artist on-set and was in charge of the prosthetics that transformed Barrymore and Jessica Lange the now iconic Big and Little Edies, eccentric relatives of Jackie O., who lived in isolation in the Hamptons. We had the opportunity to ask her about the challenges of transforming the famous into the infamous for the film.
