Comments

Toronto fashion week street style snaps: Round 5

Comments

Photography by Lewis Mirrett

This fashion week, the style on the street (or rather, red carpet) outside of the shows was at times even better than what was being shown on the runway. Especially when captured by the lens of our prodigal street photog, Lewis Mirrett. Here are the last shots of what was captured from the last day of shows. Our favourite? The inimitable Jeanne Beker in an embroidered Christopher Kane biker jacket.

"Heart-stoppingly beautiful satin and tulle extravaganzas!" Jeanne Beker tweets

According to Chanel fashion president Bruno Pavlovsky, haute couture is making its triumphant return after the recession. “We have new clients from Europe and the Middle East,” he says. “Today, we feel a new interest in haute couture.”[WWD]

Meanwhile, a very blown-away Jeanne Beker live-tweeted the Dior Couture show in Paris. [@Jeanne_Beker]
