Purple mag editor Olivier Zahm has been dumped by his main lady love, Natacha Ramsay, for another man. Zahm wrote a post on Purple Diary, which was accompanied by an image of a shattered frame of an image of the two during happier times. Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America held this year’s awards ceremony in New York. Marc Jacobs took home Womenswear Designer of the Year, while Marcus Wainwright and David Neville won the menswear award for their Rag & Bone label and Lucite lover Alexis Bittar took honors for Accessories Designer. For up-and-comers, the Swarovski Awards went to Jason Wu for womenswear, Richard Chai for menswear, and Alexander Wang for accessories. Just announced: Calvin Klein is bending their own conventions by selecting a single face to represent all three of his brands–Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, and Calvin Klein Jeans. Then again, the new CK girl Lara Stone is just a convention-bending kinda girl. [The Cut]

Toronto fashion darling Kimberley Newport-Mimran revealed she will be expanding her Pink Tartan line from the confines of the department store by opening her first Pink Tartan flagship this fall. The 2,500-square-foot space will house the line in its “pure form” in a historic Yorkville (obviously) building. [Toronto Star]

While the rest of Paris was doing sportswear, Marc Jacobs was doing full-on lady at Louis Vuitton. A nipped-in New Look silhouette adorned a curvier-than-usual group of catwalkers (Laetitia Casta, Lara Stone, Elle Macpherson, Adriana Lima et al.)–fitted boucle coats, floral, checked or tweedy circle skirts, smooth leathers, bustier tops and oversized cable knits over poufy ball skirts.
