As Grey Cup mania hit Canada this weekend, Kate Middleton was indulging in a little field-side action herself, watching a rugby game between Wales and New Zealand in Cardiff, Wales alongside Prince William who is patron of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust. Pre-game, the couple met with former players injured during their careers, who are supported by the trust.

For the outdoor event, the Duchess of Cambridge wore her red LK Bennett Ami coat—the same worn last November on a UNISEF visit to Denmark (to find out more about that cause, visit unicef.org), but this time worn with its original belt. To match the coat, the Duchess wore a previously unseen red Gucci Monogram canvas shoulder bag, black Aquatalia knee high boots and gold leaf drop earrings designed by Catherine Zoraida, which she wore during her recent Jubilee Tour to Southeast Asia.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Diamond Jubilee tour of Southeast Asia may have officially ended, but there are two final outfits to report on! This morning the royal couple departed from Tuvalu in almost the same manner as they arrived: wearing ceremonial headdresses and being carried on thrones through crowds of dancing onlookers. Kate was wearing a floral-print shirt dress by Project D London that had her usual silhouette: short sleeves, nipped-in waist and pleated skirt. The dress was clearly a specific choice for that day, as Kate was still wearing it when she and Will landed in Brisbane for a stopover—one of Project D London’s designers is Australia native Dannii Minogue. However, before settling in for the long flight back to England Kate Middleton made quick airport change. Read more »

Since we last checked in with Kate Middleton and Prince William, they’ve travelled deeper and deeper into the South Pacific and, as such, are dressing the part. Don’t believe us? On Friday Kate was wearing a long-sleeve dress and a head scarf while walking in stockings through a mosque—today the Duchess is barefoot and wearing traditional beaded necklaces on a remote topical island. But! Let’s not get ahead of ourselves! On Saturday morning the couple visited Malaysia’s Danum Valley Conservation Area and explored the rainforest. (Are we the only ones who are reminded of an exhibit in the Natural History Museum when looking at the photos?) Read more »

It’s day three of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s tour of Southeast Asia and they’ve moved on from Singapore and headed north to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Before departing they spent the morning at the Kranji War Cemetery, paying respects to British and Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives defending Singapore during World War II. Kate Middleton carried a parasol to offer some shelter from the sun (it was a balmy 30 degrees out!) and we have to say, when paired with that pleated Jenny Packham dress she had quite the ’40s aesthetic going on. The dress—described as “duck egg-blue” by the palace—is apparently a custom design for Kate Middleton and features lace detailing on the top. Read more »

We’re gearing up for another blast of Kate-does-Sporty-Spice sightings, with the Paralympic Games underway this week. As an official ambassador for the games, Kate is scheduled to attend a handful of events over the next few days and while we’re assuming there will be an abundance of patriotic polo-wearing, Kate’s spared us for now, with this first shot of her in a golden Day by Birger et Mikkelsen coatdress at yesterday’s opening ceremony, the same she wore to the wedding of Zara Phillips as well as to another in 2006. As for the accessories, Kate’s donning her tried and true nude patent LK Bennett “Sledge” pumps as well as her gold Wilbur and Gussie envelope clutch. Stay tuned, kids!

Well, we’ve never been this happy to be wrong. While we had a feeling that Kate might recycle her outfit for today’s conclusion of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, we’re happy that she didn’t, and instead, chose to wear this stunning blush lace knee-length dress designed by none other than Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Isn’t it just lovely? Isn’t she just lovely? Well, yes, we might have said that about a thousand times already… Anyways! To round out today’s outfit, Kate donned a matching blush cocktail hat by Jane Taylor, and two of her favourite accessories, her pink satin Prada clutch and her nude patent L.K. Bennett heels.

For today’s festivities, Kate attended a church service, a luncheon at Westminster Hall and rode in a car procession (right behind the 1902 open-topped Landau carriage she famously rode on her wedding day!) along with the rest of the Royal Family. And while it may be all about the Queen, we’re finding it hard, as usual, to not be making it all about Kate.

While Kate Middleton has been known to recycle outfits and accessories (which, in our opinion, is how all princesses should act—especially those of the self-proclaimed pop culture variety) we’ve never seen her wear the same dress at back-to-back royal events. But there’s a first time for everything, and that time was yesterday at the Queen‘s garden party at Buckingham Palace. Kate wore the pastel-pink pleated Emilia Wickstead dress we saw earlier in the month at the Sovereign’s luncheon but left her Prada shoes at home, opting instead for her favourite pair of taupe L.K.Bennett pumps. Also notable? That hat! If there was ever a reason to want an invite to a royal garden party, Kate’s straw and lace hat by Jane Corbett is it. Read more »
