It’s that time again! Oscar has spoken, and the nominations are in. Although we would’ve liked to see Tilda Swinton, Elizabeth Olsen, Kirsten Dunst, Shailene Woodley, and Charlize Theron be part of the Best Actress hoopla, it’s probably on Meryl lock anyway. We combed the Pre-Fall collections (with one couture exception) and plucked the gowns we think Oscar’s Best Actress nominees should consider for February 26. Let the countdown begin!

While some seem doubtful, we feel that Kate has the chops to one day become a style icon rivaling her late great mother-in-law. Kate, if you’re reading this (Hi!!!), we think all it would really take is branching out from your jersey dresses and pea coats and embracing the incredible talent that London fashion has to offer. For the couple’s impending honeymoon (rumoured to be taking place in either Australia or Africa), we picked a slightly more daring designer honeymoon wardrobe that we think would be sure to help Katie that secure her a spot in royal fashion history.

British print and colour master Matthew Williamson is set to launch a bridal collection next year. “I wanted to create a bridal collection that is both a natural extension of the mainline eveningwear, but at the same time reflects the opulence of such an important celebratory event,” he said. Matthew Williamson has been busy: The Brit has designed a capsule collection for online retailer Net-A-Porter, including seven of his most memorable dresses, and has announced a new diffusion line will debut in Fall 2011. [Elle UK]

The rumours are not true: Alexander Wang will not be collaborating with Nike–though he did consider it. The designer told WWD that the two parties had been in talks but the partnership fell through. “Nothing made it to market or will,” he confirmed. [The Cut]
