Since I last blogged, I’ve been to showrooms, presentations and shows too numerous to list. Here are some highlights: Read the rest of this entry »

Milan: Jil Sander, Missoni, Burberry, D&G and Cheap & Chic Fall 2009

JIL SANDER Fall 2009. Photography by Peter Stigter
Two words: Jil Sander. Just a phenomenal collection tonight that makes everything I’ve seen up till now just look like a bunch of “stuff.” Talk about moving fashion forward. Incredibly simple…modern and futuristic, yet classic clothing—hey, if I were nominated, I’d be wearing one of those finale pieces to the Oscars in a heartbeat. Brilliant, moulded, architectural, unadorned, neon tipped and just breathtaking! The entire room was completely spellbound and believe me, this is not an easy crowd to please. Definitely a moment here in Milan this season.
