Model Minute: Kirsten

Comments

Photography by Felix Wong

We met Kirsten from Ford Models earlier this year when she appeared in our On the Market: Feminine details video. If you’ve had your eyes open you may have spotted her in editorials for Ion magazine or for the online publication Fantasticsmag. We chatted with the up-and-coming face about exotic locales, Adam Lambert and getting the boot from Value Village.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve had to do for a shoot? Last summer I shot for Ion magazine with Norman Wong. We shot the entire story with disposable cameras, changing location from the studio, to Kensington, Union Station and the Beach. He told me and the two other models to go crazy and do whatever we wanted, which resulted in  us getting kicked out of Value Village, hopping fences, and earned us some dirty looks from protestors on the street.  It was definitely the most fun and adventurous shoot I’ve done! Welcome to Model Minute, a quick chat with a model we love.

Name: Chelsea Coyle

Agency: Sutherland Models

Where you’ve seen her: Chelsea may just be getting started, but she’s already shot a cover for a Harlequin romance novel, a campaign for Toronto Fashion Week and stars in our latest Beauty 101 video. You’ll also find Chelsea over at Modelresource.ca as their editorial assistant.

Tell us about your most fun modeling experience so far.
At Chantale Nadeau’s spring showcase. We met agents in hopes of being placed with agencies internationally and I knew that it was of paramount importance that I made a good impression. I wanted those agents to remember Chelsea Coyle. All I remember was stepping out onto the runway and a moment later ending up on my behind. My only choice was to get back up and finish the rest of the runway like it had never happened and I did so, to resounding applause! After my big runway debut I thought that would be the end of it all, although, just recently I found out that I have been placed with agencies outside of Canada. Maybe the fall was a good thing! I undoubtedly stole the show with my runway technique. Overall, it was a fun experience that has led me to amazing opportunities. Read more »
