Wear a necklace, Save a Child’s Heart
Fashionable philanthropy is a great trend that isn’t going anywhere soon–who can argue with cute accessories that just so happen to be for a good cause? They latest is this sterling silver heart necklace, bedazzled with a bold coral bead. Designed by Beth Godfrey of Bejeweled by Beth, 50 per cent of proceeds go to the Save a Child’s Heart Foundation (416-324-9113, info@sachf.ca) If the name doesn’t say enough, Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) is an Israeli-based non-profit organization that focuses on giving sick under-privileged children around the world the cardiac surgery they need to survive. It’s kind of a wear-a-heart-to-save-a-heart kind of thing.

Christian Dior has named Camille Miceli as artistic director of costume jewellery and an adviser on a selection of leather works. With not-so-humble beginnings as an intern at Chanel and Azzedine Alaïa, Miceli’s fashion career began at the ripe old age of 15. She has been working with Louis Vuitton since 1997, when she started in the public relations department. Working under the guidance of Marc Jacobs, Miceli began creating costume jewellery collections for the brand for its Spring 2004 showing. Read more »
