You’ve probably heard: Neutral hues are in this fall. We like the way this streeter layers on the browns and creams, without grabbing the season’s neutral standby–the camel coat. (Not that we have any problem with those, mind.) The long skirt, booties and frilly socks have a Road to Avonlea vibe, but the cropped waistcoat is most certainly modern day.

One of our favourite looks this fall is a cropped chunky-knit sweater over a full skirt, and this streeter seems to agree. She’s paired this cream cable-knit with a ruddy-streaked skirt and a swirl of colour on her scarf-print bag.

We’re obviously in a velvet mood this week, so this rich blue number caught our eye. We’re not crazy about the keyhole neckline, but the outrageous jacket and lace-up booties give this look enough quirk to forgive.
