Solange Knowles means business in her music video for “Losing You.” No, actually: she looks like she could be heading to work in a variety of bright pantsuits and printed blazers. But really, she’s just hanging out in South Africa and looking amazing while doing so. Solange earns major style points for having one of the most visually appealing music videos we’ve seen since Grimes’ “Genesis” and, even better, the song is pop music perfection.

Many of the moments from “Losing You” feel like they could be editorial campaigns for major fashion houses, thanks to the amazing styling and artistic shots. (Let’s be thankful Solange didn’t turn to House of Deréon to design the clothing—ahem, like in the days of Destiny’s Child—because we likely wouldn’t be talking about the video if that was the case.) With what feels like a never ending parade of prints, bright colours and a beautiful Solantourage (see what we did there?), the video confirms our guess that Beyonce’s little sister is onto something big. Now excuse us while we go practice our shoulder-popping dance moves… Read more »

Today’s set of street style photos from Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013 is basically a stylish game of Where’s Waldo because there are so many major fashion folks to spot. Think you have what it takes? Because our street style photographer Stefania Yarhi definitely does.

First, we breathe a sigh of relief upon spotting Anna Dello Russo (we were seriously freaking out yesterday) in a bright Peter Pilotto dress outside Giambattista Valli. Also outside was Leigh Lezark, in a fiery red, orange and black ensemble—half pantsuit, half structured sweater. There’s also quite the French beauty aesthetic going on, with almost everyone sporting natural waves and messy curls, including Emmanuelle Alt and Australian stylist Caroline Sieber. It’s a hairstyle that works: they look casual cool as they cruise around the streets of Paris.

Chloë Sevigny fronts Miu Miu campaign for the second time. Which is your favourite?

Left: Chloë Sevigny for Miu Miu’s Fall 2012 campaign, Right: Chloë Sevigny for Miu Miu’s Spring 1996 campaign

The wait was worth it: after 16 years, Chloë Sevigny is reprising her role as Miu Miu’s girl-du-jour by gracing their latest fall campaign, shot by the Mert and Marcus team. True to Miu Miu’s Fall 2012 ready-to-wear collection, which was ‘70s-esque pantsuit-heavy, the Hit and Miss actress is decked out in a pair of printed pants, a checkered tie and platform heels.

Miu Miu said the campaign was intended to be “a gallery of portraits with a seductive, provocative attitude,” with hints of contrasts throughout. Sevigny’s sleekly mannish ensemble and slicked back coif definitely strike a masculine-feminine contrast with her exaggerated aqua eyeshadow and graceful pose. And that teacup is the perfect prop — we love how it gives the actress and all-around style icon an off-kilter femininity.

While we loved the stripped-down campaign of the then-22-year-old Sevigny shot by Juergen Teller in 1996, we think this more sophisticated look shows how Sevigny (who was already the epitome of girl-crush material in the ‘90s) has somehow evolved even more into her offbeat, inimitable style.
