Kate Middleton wears a polka dot Topshop dress to cast some spells on the set of Harry Potter

Reunited and it feels so good! It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen the royal trio out together but they certainly know how to pick their official engagements. This morning the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry officially opened Warner Bros studios in Hertfordshire, which is home to such franchise productions as Harry Potter, Batman and James Bond. Meaning the three young royals got to tour the studio and play with all the props, much to our delight.

As you can see from the picture above, they were quite into showing off their Harry Potter wand skills. (Kate Middleton has reportedly read all the Harry Potter books and seen all the movies.) William, on the other hand, was especially into all the Dark Knight gear and as the Mirror reports, he was even joking about the possibility of making them royal baby friendly: “To be honest, I’m over the moon just to have seen the real Batmobile and Batpod. [...] You don’t do baby seats for those cars, do you, by any chance?” Clearly on a roll, Will also joked about his brother: “Harry’s just excited to see a real-life talking owl in the Harry Potter studios. I haven’t told him yet that Harry Potter is fictional, so please keep the secret for a little longer.”

Keeping with the day’s playful theme, Kate’s bump-hugging polka dot outfit was perfect for the occasion. Her adorable dress is from Topshop (and already sold out online, of course) and hits just above the knee—a cut she’s been wearing quite frequently during her pregnancy. Read more »

You can’t fake fashion: eBay teams up with 90 top designers in the fight against counterfeit bags

Canadians are being offered a chance to fight fake fashion by bidding on tote bags designed by top American designers including Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Prabal Gurung and the Row. eBay will be selling specially created totes to support original designs and raise awareness of counterfeit bags. This marks the first time eBay has opened this type of auction to Canadians. Log on, bid and snag one or more of the “You Can’t Fake Fashion” totes that were created for this one-time auction.

To nab one of these unique totes log onto eBay today through March 25th at 12 pm (ET) and bid on these must have designs. Auctions start at $100.

Not feeling eBay lucky? Don’t worry you can still fight against counterfeit bags by buying one of the “Buy It Now” standard totes for $50.  Word to the wise, if you plan to play it safe login ASAP, as these totes will only be available until supplies last.

Heather Reier has always had a passion for all things beauty, so it’s no surprise that her Toronto-based brand has grown such a cult following. The People’s Choice Awards marked the beginning of awards season last night, giving us 2013′s first round of red carpet looks to feast our eyes on. With a more relaxed dress code than some of the upcoming awards shows, last night’s event allowed Hollywood’s bright young things to experiment with short silhouettes, bright hues, mixed prints and even designer names. To our pleasant surprise, up and coming Brit designers Peter Pilotto and Simone Rocha both made appearances on Emma Watson and Chloe Grace Moretz respectively. 15-year-old Moretz, who is fast becoming a style icon in her own right, brightened up the red carpet in neon yellow alongside Lea Michele who wore a sequined pink mini-dress by Elie Saab.

Amidst all the color, classic black and white also had its moment. Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence selected an elegant LBD by Valentino. Newly single Taylor Swift stuck with her signature drop-dead-gorgeous gowns, wearing a dramatic white Ralph Lauren dress.
