Despite the fact that William and Harry are also Olympic ambassadors, it’s no surprise (to us, at least!) that Kate Middleton is the most popular royal at various London 2012 celebrations. Yesterday she took part in her first medal ceremony, presenting the gold for men’s discus. And because Kate always knows how to dress the part, she ditched her usual Team GB uniform for a more official-looking outfit. Read more »

Big calves? No problem! 10 slick fall boot picks that don’t discriminate

Fall 2012 Wide Calf Boots

If you have a larger calf, it can be daunting to find on-trend quality knee boots that actually fit. We loved all the colours and textures we saw in the September issues, and we think that a larger calf shouldn’t relegate you to ankle boots when the cooler temperatures hit—particularly since tall boots are a big trend this fall. We did some legwork (pun intended), and rounded up stylish boot options that accommodate women with calves that are 15 inches or thicker. From jewel tones to textures and embossed skins, we’ve got ten stylish picks for all you ladies with larger legs.

Kate Middleton loves her Smythe blazer almost as much as her Team GB polo shirts

See all of Kate’s Olympic outfits! »

After a weekend of wearing navy (and a few days away from the public eye) Kate’s back on the scene in London in her classic Olympic uniform. The Duchess watched the women’s hockey semifinals last night while wearing her navy Smythe blazer, Stuart Weitzman wedges, skinny jeans and white Team GB polo shirt—making the outfit very similar to the one she wore during her meet and greet with the team back in March. Olympic OMG! Kate and Will hug it out in matching Team GB polos!

See what else Kate wore today »

If this doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will. Kate and Will have clearly given themselves over to the spirit of the London 2012 games, and even went for a full out hug while watching the Team GB athletes at the Velodrome today! In the same matching polos they’ve been wearing all week, no less. (Here’s hoping they’ve been laundered). While the outfit details aren’t too exciting (recycled polo, recycled J Brand jeans, recycled Stuart Weitzman heels), the embrace says it all. And by it, we mean swoon.

As for today’s other recycles, Kate was spotted at Wimbledon earlier today cheering on Andy Murray in her bright blue Stella McCartney T-shirt dress and Smythe blazer alongside Will. The couple reportedly surprised fans with the un-slated appearance and even sat in the cheap seats to take in the match!

Kate Middleton recycles yesterday’s outfit to cheer on Zara Phillips’ silver medal on the equestrian course today

See what Kate’s been wearing to the Olympics so far! »

No, that’s not a double take: Kate is indeed wearing the exact same outfit as yesterday, but with a different top underneath her Smythe blazer. Quelle recycle! Yesterday we wondered, and now we’re fairly certain that Kate’s getup is intentionally laid-back so as to not to detract attention from Zara Phillips‘ silver medal run on the equestrian course today (way to go!). Given how intricately detailed the course is, we’d say that in and of itself was a gussied up distraction complete with a miniature model of Buckingham Palace, a crescent moon and a special hedge celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee!

And now for the outfit rundown, shall we? As well as the Smythe blazer, Kate’s wearing her good ole J Brand skinny jeans, Stuart Weitzman cork wedges, a striped sweater tank and a gold Team Great Britain pin on her lapel. Now that Phillips has grasped her medal, we’d be more than okay with Kate showing off some new getups. Right?

Kate welcomes the Olympic torch to Buckingham Palace in her own take on Team GB’s uniform (It looks perfect, of course)

See every look Kate Middleton has worn since her engagement! »

Well! In a stylish turn of events, Kate opted to save her sporty attire for this afternoon’s celebrations, which welcomed the Olympic torch to Buckingham Palace. First thought: she really has an eye for colour! You would never guess that those cobalt blue skinny jeans are not Team GB issued, but they are, in fact, Kate’s own pair from Zara. (Barefoot is one thing, but a royal in track pants? Never!) Read more »
