The 66th annual Cannes Film Festival is underway and the never-ending parade of red carpet dresses certainly makes it one of the top sartorial events of the year. As a twelve-day film festival that hosts multiple parties, photo calls and premieres each day, A-list stars and international icons bringing their best looks to the French Riviera. To help keep track, we’re rounding up the top looks from the Cannes 2013 red carpet so far—and we’ll keep adding more as the festival continues.

Arguably the most anticipated movie of the year, The Great Gatsby, had its European premiere at Cannes last week—and the red carpet was filled with outfits just a glamourous as the film itself, including Cara Delevingne’s sultry Burberry laced ensemble and Carey Mulligan’s Dior Couture gown.

Meanwhile, Emma Watson turned heads last week at the premiere of her latest film, The Bling Ring, in a stunning Chanel gown. Earlier in the day, the wizard-turned-fame-obsessed-teen (that is, on screen!) showed off an equally stunning burgundy ensemble by Christopher Kane. Read more »

It may have been pouring on opening night of the 66^th annual Cannes Film Festival in France but no natural condition could dampen the glamour of this event. Kicking off with the European premiere of The Great Gatsby, celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Cindy Crawford, Nicole Kidman, and Frida Pinto (with their umbrella holders in tow) graced the glamorous carpet.

Changing out of her menswear-inspired strapless Balenciaga jumpsuit from the photo call earlier in the day, Gatsby star Carey Mulligan gave us major Gwyneth at the Oscars in an iridescent pale pink princess gown by Christian Dior. Pairing the look with Tiffany & Co. drop earrings and a statement red lip, Mulligan swapped her typically pinned back hair in favour of a middle-parted straight down-do. Read more »

Given all the high fashion hype surrounding The Great Gatsby, there was no doubt that the celebs that showed up to the film’s premiere last night in New York would look their very best. With an A-list that included not only Hollywood heavyweights (Jennifer Lawrence snuck in after the red carpet), but high-powered moguls as well (think Anna Wintour at one end, and Martha Stewart at the other), there were some serious looks, to say the least.

At the centre, was the film’s star, Carey Mulligan, who channeled none of her alter ego Daisy Buchanan in a sculpted strapless red midi dress by Lanvin and sky-high black Brian Atwood platform sandals. She completed the look with simple, but exquisite jewellery by Tiffany & Co., who, if you need a reminder, are heavily interwoven with the film.

Playing off her feminine side, current FASHION cover girl Isla Fisher stepped out in a floor-length floral gown by Dolce & Gabbana and a Roger Vivier clutch. Bringing a little bit old Hollywood to the carpet, Fisher finished off her look with her signature red hair swept to one side with red lipstick and cat eyeliner.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Carey Mulligan, Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Williams and Jessica Biel. The guest list for last night’s Tiffany Blue Book gala read like an Oscar red carpet.

But it was all about aqua, with New York’s Rockefeller Center bathed in pale blue light and a 4-storey high blue box erected over the ice rink. Inside was a ’20s-style supper club with mounds of lobster and beef tenderloin, free flowing champagne, plumed aerialists hovering like exotic birds and Smash’s Megan Hilty belting out show tunes. The elegant excess reflected Tiffany’s starring role in the soon-to-be released The Great Gatsby, with the $200,000 diamond headband worn by Mulligan in the film on display alongside pieces from Tiffany’s 2013 Blue Book collection which goes on sale today.

Entertainment’s Fashion Police George is an expert on celebrity style dos and don’ts—a talent that’s certainly put to good use during the frenzy of award show season. While he may not be as crass as Joan Rivers, as edgy as Kelly Osbourne, or as agreeable as Giuliana Rancic, George Kotsiopoulos is certainly the most dapper host on Fashion Police panel—and rightfully so.
