In light of Victoria Beckham’s recent showing at New York Fashion Week, the brand has released a new video that offers a behind the scenes look at the Fall 2013 runway presentation. The video, which is available on Victoria Beckham’s YouTube Channel, shows models preparing for the show and getting dressed backstage. Winter whiteouts wreaked havoc on highways (and hair) over the last couple of days but they didn’t blow onto the runways at New York Fashion Week Fall 2013. From the neon green topper I spied in the crowd at Diane Von Furstenberg to the resplendent Oscar-worthy gowns at Zac Posen drenched in rich vibrant hues (Plum! Ink! Bordeaux!), it’s clear that pale was a fail on the Sunday runways. Over at the tents, Diane Von Furstenberg heat things up with her electric, glam rock show–complete with pretty young things like Katharine McPhee and Vanessa Hudgens sitting front row and a collection that screamed “Life of the Party.” Think coats with luxe lizard coatings, rabbit fur vests, snake zip clutches and fluttery chiffon halter neck maxi dresses– perfect for that 5-star warm winter getaway. Rockstar fantasy or reality? At DVF, it’s always a little bit of both.

Gone are the days when celebrities and designers were just, well, celebrities and designers. Now with every celebrity endorsement comes with a prestigious title—one that we’re used to being associated with helming a major fashion house—the creative director.

While we can’t be too certain what part of the process these celebrity endorsements play other than lending their face or fame to the product, it has become increasingly common for musicians, actors, and designers to add a creative director title to their CVs (aka their Wikipedia pages). With the recent news of Alicia Keys becoming the Global Creative Director of Blackberry, and today’s announcement of Marc Jacobs as the newest creative director of Diet Coke—succeeding Jean Paul Gaultier—we’ve decided to take a look back at some of the weirdest and flat out funniest creative directors to date.

Victoria Beckham teases her e-commerce site launch with a 17 second video

Victoria Beckham’s first e-commerce website is launching next month, and a new short film gives Beckham fans a sneak peek at the site’s creative new direction.

The video teases a new look for the brand through a series of images that flash onscreen. The grainy images show models wearing Victoria Beckham clothing with an attitude that we’re not used to seeing from the brand. As the images appear, Beckham asks herself, “What do people expect of me? I think people expect the best.”

There seems to be a direct correlation between the amount of time since we last saw Kate Middleton in public and the number of “royal sources” who are more than willing to share reports about our dear Duchess of Cambridge. Case in point: we’ve seen barely a glimpse of Kate since December (a surprise TV appearance was barely satisfying and zoom-lens shots from Christmas provided little intel) and the rumours are running rampant.

When Burberry released the first images of its Spring 2013 campaign starring celeb-spawn Romeo Beckham (son of David and Victoria Beckham, in case you needed the namesake refresher), the worldwide swoon was audible to say the least. Now, in its just-released campaign video, Burberry has ensured even more gushing with a minute long of footage featuring Romeo Beckham literally running circles around the mannequin-like poses of Cara Delevigne, Edie Campbell and Charlie France while wearing kid-sized takes on the brand’s candy coloured Spring 2013 wears. The 10-year-old’s enthusiasm shines through every frame of the video, as do his sprightly moves. Proving the perfect combo of fashion and sports royalty, we’re guessing this is just the first act in a long play of awesomeness starring Lil’ Romeo.
