It seems to be a popular move among offspring of The Rolling Stones to try a hand at modelling. Georgia May Jagger has recently been named the freshest new face of Versace. After landing a Vogue UK cover and a Rimmel contract all before the tender age of 17, Jagger’s graduation to the design mogul is the ideal stepping stone in what appears to be a long-lasting career. Vogue’s European Editor at Large Hamish Bowles spent some time roughing it in the country, reluctantly prepping a piece for Vogue’s environment issue. The fashion journalist ate what he thought was bear feces–but turned out to be only dates–a prank concocted by Hamish’s scout leader. [Vogue]

Woody Allen’s latest muse is Adriana Lima, whom Allen is said to be writing into his next screenplay. Model chum Agyness Deyn has also caught the acting bug; she’ll be appearing in Peter McGough’s upcoming short film. But can these pretty faces transfer their talent to the big screen? In an interview with GNT Fashion in her native Brazil, Raquel Zimmermann chats about her decade-long fashion career, her love for Vogue’s Grace Coddington and how Karl Lagerfeld is actually a “sweet, friendly, funny person.” The clip is worth watching for the eye candy alone–delicious editorials and video evidence of Zimmermann’s skills as a runway stalker. Video: Grace Coddington vs. giant scarves in The September Issue

aug09septemberissue

Two more clips from The September Issue are making the rounds. The premiere is tonight at the MoMA in New York, but it won’t make it to a theatre near (some of) you until October. The first clip shows some light Sienna Miller hair drama–the blonde bobbed wig they were using to cover her lank hair didn’t really work out, leading to the top knot that eventually made the shot. The second clip features Grace Coddington and her wild hair tending to Raquel Zimmermann, Coco Rocha and some gigantic knits. (Remember those big orange scarves from Giles?)

Enticingly brief clips after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

From Valentino's Fall 2009 campaign

When I saw this Fall 2009 Valentino ad recently, my first thought was, Wow Kristen McMenamy has some great legs. While I’m sure she does, the legs in question actually belong to Austrian model Iris Strubegger, who is suddenly popping up everywhere. Read the rest of this entry »
