An attractive crowd turned out in their finest for Men’s FASHION magazine’s celebration of the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of the buzzworthy biopic, Born to Be Blue. The post-screening gathering at King Street West hotspot The Citizen celebrated the new cinematic take on the legendary jazz trumpeter Chet Baker (played by Ethan Hawke) and directed by Robert Budreau, who appears on the Fall 2015 cover of Men’s FASHION magazine.

Born to Be Blue co-stars Callum Keith Rennie and Carmen Ejogo breezed into The Citizen looking sharp before sitting down for a private three-course dinner prepared by executive chef, Jacob Wigglesworth. Other revelers in the house included filmmaker Bruce LaBruce; designers Kirk Pickersgill of Greta Constantine and Sunny Fong of VAWK; model Paul Mason and Men’s FASHION Magazine Editor-In-Chief David Livingstone who caught up with pal and Oscar-nominated director, Deepa Mehta.

While listening to a dreamy 30-minute set from the jazz band featured in the Born to Be Blue film, guests sipped Grey Goose signature cocktails, Buried Hope wine and ice-cold Grolsch beer. For those looking to satisfy their thirst, Flow water H20 bar was on site along with bottlegreen’s refreshing sparkling pressé.
