I guess Mo was too upset to write the other girls a letter after her elimination, as no one even acknowledges the fact that she’s gone. Instead, we jump straight from the opening credits to the first Jay Mail. “Sometimes to get to the top, you have to find your own way,” Jay says. Cori’s getting pretty good at this riddle thing, guessing “go-sees” before Jay even gets to the second part of the clue: “You have to know how to impress, and bring a sense of direction.”
The girls head over to Sutherland Models, where Jay is waiting with a handful of straws. He tells them that whoever draws the short straw will go it alone and must be back at the agency by 3 p.m., while the others will go in pairs and have until 4 p.m. Rebecca is the unlucky one.
Or is she? Tara, paired with Cori, doesn’t seem to think so. “Cori acts like she’s 15, and it’s driving me mental,” she says. “She will complain non-stop about anything.” We’re treated to an amusing montage of Cori complaining about a bad smell, cold ears, creepy birds, sore heels, and the cold in general.
Sinead and Tia get along a little better, with only one good-natured spat after Tia informs a designer that Sinead would lose her head if it weren’t screwed on.
Rebecca earns the most praise at her go-sees, with the designers tossing around compliments like “unbelievable personality,” “really nice walk” and “by far the best.” Unfortunately, Rebecca realizes too late that she doesn’t have to attend each go-see in the order of the map legend, and she misses two appointments.
The girls all make it back to Sutherland with moments to spare. Jay tells them that each designer has graded them on six points: appearance, book, personality, presentation, suitability for their brand, and walk. Although the designers that Rebecca met rated her on the high side, missing two appointments drags down her score, and she places last. Tara comes third and Tia fourth, both with average scores. Sinead is second, losing points for missing one appointment, and Cori comes first and wins a sparkly diamond ring.
Rebecca is frustrated that she lost, but she admits that it was her own fault for not following instructions properly. Tara is not such a graceful loser. “[Cori] won it because of me,” she says angrily. “I think everyone knows that.”
Jay Mail! “Life’s good, if you can learn to multi-task,” Jay says. The girls meet up with Nolé Marin on a cold city street and learn that they’ll be modelling a LG cell phone, in lingerie, while being tugged down the street by a Great Dane. Their photographer is none other than America’s Next Top Model judge and photog Nigel Barker.
Despite some minor dog-related mishaps (one licks Tia’s bum and the other escapes from Cori), the shoot goes well. Nigel has the most fun shooting Rebecca and is most disappointed with Cori, but says that overall, the Canadian girls stand up to any other final five he’s ever worked with.
When the girls return home, they learn that they’ll be having dinner with Nigel that evening. A starstruck Cori is literally at a loss for words. “Nigel Barker is… uh, I,” she says. “He’s so… uh.”
Unfortunately for picky eater Cori (who hadn’t even tried a cheeseburger until recently, as she doesn’t like “orange” food), Nigel’s chosen to treat them to Indian fare. Even worse, she’s seated next to Nigel at dinner and he insists on spooning a generous amount of every dish onto her plate. The other girls giggle as she chokes it all down.
At elimination, the judges reduce Tara to tears when they tell her she lacks presence. They like Tia’s attitude, and are also impressed by Sinead’s photo, but they don’t think she believes she’s a top model. Nigel, this week’s guest judge, tells Cori she occasionally has crazy eyes in her pictures, and says that Rebecca’s photo is the best and the one he’d choose to lead an actual ad campaign.
Before choosing who to eliminate, the judges ask each girl to clear up any misconceptions they think the judges might have about the other contestants. A savvy Rebecca seizes this opportunity to sabotage the competition, saying she finds Cori fake. Tia agrees (weren’t she and Cori great friends just last week? It’s amazing how quickly everything changes when someone wins two challenges in a row), and although Nigel offers Cori a chance to rebut, she’s hyperventilating too hard to speak.
Rebecca is called first, followed by Sinead and Cori. Tia and Tara are the bottom two, but Jay floors everyone when he whips out both of their pictures at once—no one is eliminated this week!
Next week: The girls act as store mannequins, Rebecca gets a surprise, and those racy party pictures make a comeback as Cori decides to blackmail the other girls.

I missed Nigel Barker! It was good to see him. I think Rebecca's going to win, with Sinead second. Tara better not win.

I like Nigel, but I think he thinks he's funnier than he is. I wish he wouldn't try to be funny on the show - just be a photographer or a judge: that's what you're there for. I'm not surprised Cori left, although I think she's really pretty. Rebecca has to win.

Everyone seems to have counted out Tia, but I'm amazed at how far she's come. The judges seem to love her. I think it'll be her and Rebecca in the top two.
