We beauty editors consider ourselves pretty tough chicks, but when it comes to our skin, we admit to being sensitive, which is why we’re brushing on Micabella Cosmetics’ Shimmer Powder ($15, at select Bay stores). Made from pure, 100% natural mica, the loose powder is free of preservatives, chemicals and dyes, so it won’t irritate our sensitive skin or contact lenses. Shimmer Powder comes in a whopping 80 shades ranging from shimmery white “Desert Frost” to pitch black matte “Ebony.” We love how it gives us more bang for our buck, since it does double duty brushed on as eyeshadow or as an eyeliner, when applied with a damp angled brush. Bonus: the neutral shades can even be used as blush or topped with gloss on lips. Our picks? “Striptease,” a peachy gold, is perfect for highlighting this season’s sun-kissed skin, while “Ultraviolet” is on-trend for fall, where purple shadow stormed the runways at Behnaz Sarafpour and Bottega Veneta.
