Style profile: Cherie Federau, vintage clothing e-seller, 42

Cherie Federau—vintage e-seller (her website is ShrimptonCouture.com) and backwoods dweller—has decided to be the same age as her car. It’s a beautiful car, a white Jaguar V12 coupe born in 1974. That would make her 36. So would her looks: polished skin, curves sleek as a cat’s and a spoil of brilliant black hair. Forget selling it—Federau is fine vintage personified.

She’s really 42, if you believe such things as birth certificates, but how boring is that? Besides, her adopted birth year fits. Federau’s favourite vintage decade is the ’70s—designers: Ossie Clark and Halston, model: Veruschka.
