Rock Candy

Canadian designer Todd Lynn’s andro-silhouettes leave the fashion dilettanti drooling.

Ever since Helmut Lang bowed out of his label a few years back, players on the international fashion circuit have been looking to fill the void of minimalist master, and some believe London-based Canadian designer Todd Lynn just may be the second coming. The 39-year-old’s collection of lean, well-tailored—and edited—clothes blur the line between his and hers, and provide a refreshing respite from the heavy-on-the-femme fashions of late. A downtown balance of bad-boy rocker and Savile Row swish, his Fall 2007 collection is built around skinny wool trousers, tuxedo jackets and single-button toppers.
