I've always loved leather..even when it wasn't the new fashion-was that ever? It always looks rich & sexy if you know how to wear it. Leather pants will dress up any atmosphere - work, play...just wear accessories that suit the the occasion. And with a leather skirt or suit, you'll never feel like you "have nothing to wear."

P.S. If your pants are meant to be fitted-buy them tight-they will stretch to just the right size. If you buy them to fit you will end up with that awful baggy bottom & thigh look...never fashionable.

Totally agree with you, Deborah, about the leather pants. I'd always wanted to wear them, but was intimidated. I bought a pair a few weeks ago and absolutely love them. Now I want to buy more leather - the belt in this slideshow is awesome.

Like most people I bought a pair on a whim, and I was a bit worried at first that people wondering if I has a big ego for wearing leather pants. But, people don't realize that it's about the comfort - my old "comfy" jeans feel like potato bags compared to these. Also, I have to admit that I like looking a bit edgy and stylish at the same time - I think it's fun. I now own four pairs and alway wear them on casual Fridays and weekends.

Being a straight male I realize that leather pants are not always looked at as the coolest male fasion, but I do own a few pairs. I am still young and thin, so I can get away with wearing them. They are very comfortable (more so than jeans) and warm in the winter. With the right sweater or button up shirt, they look very classy on men and I will always have a pair.

I agree with Danny. I have a few pairs too and I noticed I wasn't the only guy wearing them this weekend. A good fit is an absolute must but they are definitely warm, comfortable and classy.

Finally: some positive comments on leather pants - from both guys and girls.

I'm a married man, 34, I work for the department of health, and I wear leather pants most fridays and even sometimes during the week. I get lots of compliments, some of which might even be sincere [haha] but also a few sideways glances. Of course, my buddies love to give me the business too, which I take in good humour. All said, it does amaze me how most people have no idea how comfortable they are to wear. Plus, it's fun to not look like a carbon copy of every other man in the western world.

I wear my leather pants with jacket often but I was surprised to see that women are intimidated by the thought of wearing them too. I always thought it seemed more acceptable for women to wear them. I see many more women wearing them with confidence.
But I like mine and wear them when I can. They set you apart. But if they fit well they really make you look good.

I am straight male but I love to wear leather pants. I think leather pants always look great with sweater or a hoodie. It could be a casual trend for teenagers too. The only barrier I had seen is that leather pants are quite expensive and very hard to find out, otherwise it is great to wear them like denim jeans.
