(Try and) hang ten, baby
At surf camp, Rebecca Tay discovers that riding the wave is harder than it looks.
How we got there
Heading to the Harbour Air terminal (harbour-air.com), near Waterfront Station downtown, was a great way to end a hectic week at work. While they don’t normally fly to Tofino, Roxy kindly chartered a trip for us—a relief, since it can take up to six hours to drive, ferry and drive some more. Plus, what’s better than eight girls (plus one guy—MuchMusic Going Coastal host Lauren Toyota brought along her cameraman, the lone male on the trip) on a 14-passenger seaplane, navigated by (we thought) the best-looking pilot on the West Coast? Yes, there were plenty of giggles on the way.
