Life in Mono
Name to know: Since launching Mono (monoclothing.ca) in 2005, local designer Heather Martin has collaborated with artists and design companies such as Yumi Eto, the Lifetime Collective and even Douglas Coupland.
What’s new now: The latest Mono capsule collection, titled Interlacing Opposing Thoughts, includes the designer’s amazing signature draped tunics, as well as handcrafted lace jackets, collars and vests (shown, $439) that look stunning when paired with a gathered-hem dress or a pair of pleated shorts.
