Oh, how time has flown! It seems like just yesterday Nancy Won joined the FASHION Magazine team as fashion news editor—but it was actually almost a year ago! Meaning: We’re way overdue for exploring the contents of her purse. Nancy describes her Alexander Wang bag as badass and we’d certainly use that word to describe her personal style as well. (From stacking rings to Nike kicks, Nancy’s got cool-girl style on lock.) And as you can see from our purse snooping—crystals! A tiny Tabasco sauce!—the inside of her bag is pretty cool too.

I bought this Alex Wang bucket bag three years ago in Chicago as a wedding present for myself. I love all the badass artillery but it gets inspected at airport security every time!

Comme des Garçons pretty much has the wallet game on lock. I like this one
because it’s small, which forces me to edit how many cards, receipts and
random bits of paper I carry around.

I bought these sunglasses in New York for $5 at a stall on St. Mark’s Place, which is where I’ve been buying almost all my sunglasses lately
because I lose or trash them so easily. Plus people are always mistaking
them for designer, so bonus! On weekdays I can’t leave home without my Sennheiser earbuds. I couldn’t
survive my morning commute without them.

Health and acting beauty editor Rani Sheen turned me on to Aesop’s
Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm and now I’m obsessed. It’s a splurge at
$30 but it smells like a spa in a tube, so every time I use it, it’s kinda
like a mini pampering sesh.

My daytime look is pretty casual so I always have my favourite red Nars
Satin Lip Pencil in “Luxembourg” on me in case I want to fancy up my look for
an after-work fashion event or cocktail party. Otherwise, my everyday lip is
either nude or nothing. Cherry Chapstick is a cult classic.

An emergency supply of Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray adds a boost of beachy
tousle to my hair, which has usually deflated by midday.

I usually have some random crystals kicking around in the bottom of my bag
just for extra clarity, energy and getting rid of bad mojo.

I don’t usually wear fragrance but when I do, I always rock jasmine. This
one’s a basic jasmine-scented perfume oil by Auric Blends. You can find it
everywhere but I bought it at a random shop in Joshua Tree so it reminds me
of the desert.

I have a weakness for candy so I almost always have some on me. Twizzlers
and Sour Power Straws (which I buy by the fistful when I’m in the States
because they’re not available in Canada) are my fave. Weirdly, outside of straight candy, I have a fear of added sugar so I always
carry extra packs of sweetener.

I like my food spicy and people are always joking that I should carry hot
sauce around with me. Well, I do.
