Rain boots should show off your legs, so don’t be scared to wear them with your shorts, leggings, dresses or skinny jeans, just nothing too baggy. My favourite combo would have to be with cut-off denim shorts and a few layers on top to keep me warm.

I love April showers for the fresh energy they bring into the air. One of my favorite rainy pairings is polka dots and rain boots. A yellow polka-dot skirt feels sweet and fresh for a rainy day, which I love pairing with a trench raincoat over the shoulder for a cool girl vibe.

Every spring I look forward to the day I can start changing out my big heavy outerwear for sleeker fashion fare. My go-to rain weather piece is a beautifully constructed trench coat. It’s an unbelievable versatile piece that never goes out of style. If you want to take a little fashion risk, purchase a trench with a little twist, like the dark contrast piping on mine.

For me, spring all starts with the right footwear… there is nothing worse than cold wet feet! If you have waterproof shoes you can pretty much build your outfit from there. I love these short little Chelsea boots from Rockport, because at first glance, they don’t even look waterproof. They are also so comfortable!
When it’s raining it’s almost always cold and damp (at least here on the East Coast), and so I love wearing cozy pieces. This over-sized knit cardigan from Old Navy fits the bill perfectly, and a hot coffee doesn’t hurt either. Toss me a trench coat, and an umbrella and I’m rain weather ready!
