When you hear the name Stacy London do you remember the good old days of TLC’s What Not To Wear? Along with the show’s 10-year-long run, London has worked in the fashion departments at Vogue and Mademoiselle and has styled the likes of Kate Winslet and Katie Holmes. So when we heard that she had teamed up with Excel gum and was in Toronto talking all things confidence, we had to pop in.
We were dying to know what the woman who’s prepared for everything carries around in her Zara tote bag. Some necessities: lipstick, travel-size shampoo, a notebook and headphones. We also found out she keeps a variety of stud earrings and lipstick shades with her at all times, just in case. What can we say, a woman who considers an extra set of earrings an everyday essential is a woman after our own hearts.

“[This] Zara tote is the perfect work-to-weekend bag. I would take this to work if I was going to a production company and I had […] a ton of stuff.”

What’s In Your Bag, Stacy London?
“I always carry gum. That is the truth, always, always. And when I’m in Canada [it’s] always Excel.
I have [Frends Rose Gold Taylor Headphones] with me, especially during the day if I don’t want to talk to anybody. [Sometimes] they’re not plugged into anything.”

What’s In Your Bag, Stacy London?
“A notebook I always carry because I get inspired, fashion-wise, by things I see on the street. [I’ll] get ideas for television shows, because I do a lot of producing, and I just like to be able to write things down when I think of them.
That’s Nars Audacious lipstick. [I love] pretty much every single one of the new Audacious [shades]. I’m also obsessed with the fact that Charlotte Rampling is the model.”

What’s In Your Bag, Stacy London?
“I might carry hairspray if it’s about to get humid and I don’t want my hair to frizz cause I’m half Sicilian and half Jewish and that’s what happens. I love travel size anything. It’s really great as the go-to thing to have in your bag, so I buy travel size things and leave them in more than one bag.
I used to carry- and sometimes still do- a mini cassette tape box, with a variety of different stud earrings. It’s about being prepared for me. Life’s little mishaps.”
