See which epic celebs star in the Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 campaign

How could we not have seen this coming? Just weeks after Marc Jacobs escorted Cher to the Met Gala (for which Jacobs dressed her in a stunning sequinned gown with an extra-high slit), she appears in the designer’s latest ad campaign. Looking fierce as ever, the music legend wears a floor length, pleated black gown paired with a heavily embroidered high-waisted jacket and incredible teased hair. Very Cher.

From Joan Didion as the face of Céline, Joni Mitchell for Saint Laurent and Tilda Swinton taking over the Nars Spring 2015 campaign, women of a certain age are having a serious fashion moment.  2015 seems to be the year the fashion industry fully embraces legendary women and we couldn’t be happier about it (serious #lifegoals).

We’re eagerly awaiting more shots and hope that whoever else joins the pop diva for the Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 ad campaign can hold their own beside Cher.

UPDATE: Marc Jacobs has revealed the second face of his sure-to-be-iconic fall campaign via Instagram, and it does not disappoint. The designer posted a photo of 14-year-old Willow Smith, wearing a shorter, more youthful version of Cher’s floor length, pleated black gown creating an undeniable contrast between the two age groups. Jacobs took to his personal Instagram page to acknowledge that “beauty, style and talent know no age. It is those individuals whose creativity, unique vision, and voice inspire all of us here to create and express ourselves through our medium: fashion.” He added that more images from the fall campaign will be released in the coming weeks. Until then, we wait patiently (kind of) to find out which visionary Jacobs will show off next!

UPDATE: A third (and fourth) face has been added to the now highly anticipated Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 campaign. Red Hot Chilli Pepper frontman Anthony Keidis and son Everly Bear were revealed as the newest faces via Jacobs Instagram this afternoon. Keidis is dressed in a crushed velvet blazer while his son (who is a spitting image of his father) wears a more relaxed look from Little Marc Jacobs. The designer welcomed the pair saying “Thank you guys for joining us in our fall campaign. You’re both hot and cool as can be”. We’re loving the diversity it’s this campaign is bringing and we eagerly await the next Instagram bomb as we try and calm our Bad Blood déjà vu feelings.

UPDATE: Another major celebrity has just been added to the already star-studded cast of the Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 campaign. Jacobs posted two campaign photos of our ultimate ’90s icon, Winona Ryder, on his Instagram account this past weekend. The star is wearing a heavily embellished winter coat paired perfectly with tons of dark eye makeup. We also love the oversized sunglasses and razor cut locks Ryder is sporting, giving us a very ’90s feel with a modern twist. The designer stated “Winona and I have been friends for over 15 years.” The two worked together previously for the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2003 campaign and they’re still a match made in fashion heaven today.
