“As a somewhat shorter girl with curves rocking a short dress has it’s challenges. The shape of the dress is key and you must remember that not every look will work on your particular body type (as much as you want it to!). I like dresses that don’t cling to my body too much and emphasize my legs in a good way, a good pair of heels does the trick too! This one by Zara is great since it’s a pattern that’s forgiving and hugs me in all the right places and it’s not too short!”

I never buy teeny tiny dresses that just cover the booty. Maybe being less than a year away from turning 30 makes it fee less than appropriate or maybe its the fact that my booty has gotten a little more bootilicious over the years; whatever the reason I just don’t. But with the legs being the new erogenous zone of the season I am taking chances and baring mine.

Right now I’m kind of into playing with levels. I like the idea of pairing long and short pieces together while mixing in some taller socks or stockings to switch up the focus. With hemlines coming up shorter and shorter this season it’s fun to play with over pieces, and vests to keep things interesting and fresh.

This fall the 1970s are everything, from bell bottoms, wide-brim hats and of course the epic amounts of fringe that are covering everything from purses to jackets. I cannot get enough of this era, and it has inspired most of my fall shopping so far. Before the fall winds come in though, I’m taking this last opportunity to show off my stems with breezy and flowy mini-dresses inspired by the decade. Pairing a mini with an amazing pair of platform heels, will help exaggerate the length of your legs.

I’m a huge fan of fashion that focuses on legs! I plan on making the most of shorter hemlines this season, pairing them with ankle booties and making sure the fit is oversize to keep things balanced. Once the cooler weather hits, I’ll layer up with patterned tights to keep the same silhouette with extra warmth.

Even though the weather will be turning this month, it doesn’t mean I have to give up on all my short skirts and dresses, thanks to one of Fall’s most coveted item, the Thigh-High Boot. These Over-the-knee wonders keep give you both that extra coverage and style for days as the fall weather rolls in. I love how they help me transition those short skirts and dresses in my wardrobe all while staying stylishly on trend. Want to take those minis a little further? Pair those booties with coordinating tights to add extra warmth late this fall.

Most women consider their legs the best part of their bodies! Also, your legs are one of the only parts of your body that stay the same during pregnancy. I just entered my 7th month of pregnancy and I am in love with tights and short skirts. Styling a bump is not easy!Sky high hemlines are tough to pull off in the summer, but with fall just around the corner, I love pairing a great black skirt with warm grey tights and booties. Layering sweaters is also key for me in the fall. Layers ensure that I stay warm when walking outside, but cool when I sit down to work in a coffee shop. No matter your body type, pulling off skirt or dress is easy when you pair it with tights. Don’t be afraid to play around with this trend and stay warm!

I have a thing for long maxi skirts, and especially this season I’m on the look-out for skirts with thigh-high slits. Designers are showing us that it’s all about bearing the legs. I look for skirts with side slits, which creates a unique angle and tends to be more flattering for different body types. As the weather continues to cool off, I plan to pair this maxi skirt with tall boots or neutral leggings and booties.

Becky’s wearing: Skirt, purchased in a local boutique in Italy. Top, Topshop. Bag, Pinkstix. Sunglasses, Alexander McQueen.
