The rumours are true! Prince George and Princess Charlotte are coming to Canada

Canadian royal watchers should stick close to home this fall. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (a.k.a William and Kate) will be touring British Columbia and the Yukon in September. But the real reason we Canucks are smiling from coast to coast has to do with the two littlest royals, Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 1, who are reportedly accompanying Mummy and Daddy. (File under “Too cute too handle.”) We haven’t seen an apple-cheeked mini Windsor royal take the world by storm since Prince George (then only 8 months old) joined his parents on their tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2014. Of all Kate Middleton’s sartorial wins on that trip, the blonde tot was by far her best accessory.

Although William and Kate have been adamant about keeping their kiddies out of the spotlight (births, christenings and birthdays are among the exceptions), it seems as though official tours with the family in tow are just the thing to modernize the British monarchy. Has the order come from Great-Granny Her Majesty the Queen? We may never know, but regardless of the motive, we are chuffed to welcome the fab four to Canada this fall. Just think of all the adorable outfit possibilities—mini Roots leather jackets and hiking boots, anyone?
