Another perk to being out and about at the World MasterCard Fashion week tents? The chance to be quizzed by us! We’re chatting up stylish Toronto show goers all week long, and today’s edition may just be our best yet. Read on to see why international model Dauphine can’t stay away from Toronto, what being a fashion week volunteer is all about and which shows are absolute must-sees for editors and street style shooters alike. What are you wearing and why?
Cole Haan boots, Rudsak sweater with leather sleeves and a velvet cape from a dear friend of mine.
Favourite piece you’re wearing?
The cape!
What are you doing at the tents?
I’m doing PR for the Rudsak Spring 2014 runway presentation.
Why do you love Toronto fashion week?
I love Toronto fashion week because each season shows the progression of our homegrown talent, so that’s pretty cool. And of course, getting to see your peers you only see twice a year!
Fave fall fashion trend?
The go to fall “trends” I always enjoy are leather jackets as well as oversized separates.

What are you wearing and why?
Today I chose the H&M Maison Martin Margiela pea jacket and turtleneck, Second yoga jeans, DSquared men’s ankle boots, Zara scarf, Christopher Kon bag, and jewelry by FITZ&FUR—simply because these pieces are my ‘uniform’…the white jeans have become the skinny black…the Margiela oversize pieces provide warmth while shooting street style and look so fuckin’ cool at the same time without even trying and the rest tie into my rock n’ roll sensibility.

Needless to say I LOVE the H&M Margiela collaboration pieces…
What are you doing at the tents?
It’s Toronto’s fashion week and as a contributor to Zoomer magazine I’m working it, as I stylist I need to know “What’s going on?”—just keeping on top of the situation.
Why do you love Toronto fashion week?
I love Toronto fashion week because we are an incubator of budding talent(s) whether designer, model, make-up and hair etc. To know and watch ‘the ones’ grow into the international arena is satisfying.
Fave fall fashion trend?
My fave fall trend is…Menswear (or anything a dude would wear?)

What are you wearing and why?
Vintage bowler hat, resin vintage frames, Hugo Boss black button up, Aldo brass harness, Christian Dior striped tuxedo coat, Just Cavalli crushed velvet leopard shorts, American apparel tights, Army surplus ankle boots, BCBG leather suave and chain tote. Why? For the London look to attend the Gotstyle after party later in the evening.
Favourite piece you’re wearing?
Dior tuxedo jacket, I believe the blazer is the cornerstone of any mans wardrobe.
What are you doing at the tents?
Covering the shows for Outwords Magazine and giving our readers an insight into the goings on at WMCFW.
Why do you love Toronto fashion week?
It’s an opportunity to celebrate an art form that we live our life in.

Leather and layering, favorite spring trend—quilting.

What are you wearing and why?
Air France Uniform
Favourite piece you’re wearing?
I think it’s a lot of fun and I get a lot of attention and positive feedback.
What are you doing at the tents?
It’s my third evening here and I’ve been doing something different every day. First day I was dealing with media. Second was spent backstage and now third I’m greeting at the door.
Why do you love Toronto fashion week?
I love all the attention it brings to the city and it’s a great way for people to experience Toronto.
Fave fall fashion trend?
Cozy sweaters and scarves.
Dauphine McKee, Model
What are you wearing and why?
All Zara outfit! I’m wearing blue leggings, cut off turtleneck and jacket from Zara. Oh but the boots are Marc Jacob! I kind of wanted to mesh winter and fall a little bit. So I did the turtleneck and to keep it light the crop top version.
Favourite piece you’re wearing?
My Zara jacket it’s the perfect fall jacket.
What are you doing at the tents?
I walked seven shows in total and tonight is one of my favourites, Rudsak!
Why do you love Toronto fashion week?
I love the fashion and the people. I think Toronto has so many amazing designers and Canada just has such amazing talent. I’m so honoured to be a part of it.
Fave fall fashion trend?
I saw a lot of leather leggings in Toronto and New York during last year’s fall collections. I love leather leggings.
