Can it be? Is this really the final day of Toronto Fashion Week? Say it ain’t so! The week has flown by in a blur of models, outrageous outfits and one or two parties. So to celebrate the week that was we have an extra-large extra-stylish batch of street style pics for you.

The looks on the streets seemed to be a resounding chorus of leather and patterns. Leather baseball hats, one particularly fierce glossy leather skirt, black leather moto jackets, and more than a fair share of leather handbags in a variety of colours and textures. And did you see those waxed cotton overalls? The look of leather minus the sweat factor. Genius.

There were plenty of sporty cues too. A Boston Red Sox club jacket made an appearance, as well as a couple studded lettermans, some fitted caps here and there and more than a few pairs of sneakers—everything from Nike Frees to the Jack Purcell x Hudson’s Bay converse kicks. An infiltration of #normcore in Toronto perhaps?

Vibrant prints were de rigeur these last few days, and a nice change up from the all black ‘tude we’ve seen through out the week. Blogger Bianca Venerayan masterfully mixed an abstract origami pleated skirt over a vintage cut apricot satin gown, letting the longer dress hem peak out from underneath the skirt. The Globe and Mail‘s Andrew Sardone went for some subdued English eccentricity in a printed mackintosh and matching umbrella and scarf. Another finely dressed gent gave his raingear a gangster twist topping his camo green print jacket with a matching Blue Jays fitted cap perched precariously high. Plaids, stripes, geometrics, and plenty of abstract motifs rounded out the looks, providing plenty of ocular interest. Just take a look at Stacey McKenzie’s dramatic patterned ensemble—a literal vision in black and white, or so says her sweater at least.

Despite the overcast skies and the week-long lack of sunshine Hog Town’s creative set busted out some statement sunnies, with steam punk metallic framing and heavy embellishment stealing the limelight. Toronto’s fashion week attendees and supporters really brought their a-game to the tents this year, proving that this humble city of ours has some serious steez. We may be very polite, but we mean business. Especially when it comes to fashion.
