Yesterday, Toronto Fashion Week was met with dark skies and rainy weather, but that didn’t stop any of our favourite Toronto street style stars from bringing their sartorial game for day two of the shows (or photographer Stefania Yarhi from capturing them!). Between Elan + Castor making its runway debut and the models at the Target Holiday Show strutting down the runway with the brand’s adorable Bull Terrier mascot, yesterday was surely one for the books.

As for the trends found outside the shows? A classic array of leather jackets, turtlenecks, and tailored wool coats were seen on WMCFW attendees, alongside a few stand-out looks, including 90s-inspired chokers, printed midi-skirts and coloured fur stoles. We also spotted Justine Iaboni making a case for head-to-toe prints, in a cactus-printed Topshop set, paired with a matching forest green jacket. Of course there was also no shortage of Minnie Mouse ears spotted, as the Mercedez-Benz Start Up initiative campaign declared the Disney icon the face of the design challenge contest, which was hosted by Cailli and Sam Beckerman.

Luckily, Torontonians are used to a little unpredictability when it comes to the weather and no sacrifices had to be made in the name of street style, but for the love of fashion, here’s hoping the rainy days are over.
