Frigid temperatures, mini fashionistas and a new footwear direction—it looks like the first weekend of New York Fashion Week, with its bone-chilling winds, had a few newcomers blow into town. The Kardashians are here. But of course everyone knows that–from Kim’s crop tops and bare legs (what Polar Vortex?) to Kendall’s runway spin at Alexander Wang, it appears Fashion Week is brought to you by the letter K this season. And speaking of K, kids are snapping up front row tickets to the hottest shows: North West was spotted at Alexander Wang in full meltdown mode, no less. (She obviously wanted Wang’s Fall 2015 fisherman sweater and stone washed jeans…or maybe all she wanted was a cookie and a cuddle); The Beckham brood–Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper (who sat on Daddy David’s lap) was front and centre at Victoria Beckham. Clearly, mini mes are the new must-have.

Of the latter, there are gobs of new trends already filling up the Twitterverse for fall 2015. Jewel tones (Monique Lhuillier), Schoolgirl cool (Derek Lam), Rustic artisanal (Thakoon) and so on. One that stands high above the rest is the creeper boot at Alexander Wang. These mega-platform styles were hardcore with a dash of haute. Perfect for pounding the city sidewalks next fall. In fashion, every fall/winter season needs a sub zero-hero piece. Looks like we found a winner. Here are 8 cold weather hits we spied on the New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 runways:
