Street Style, New York Fashion Week: Models hamming it up are the real stars outside the shows

Statement furs are all well and good, but after looking at a few days of street style photos from New York Fashion Week, everything starts to look a bit, for lack of a better word, samesies. The focused walk, the convenient phone-check, the piled-on layers—the fashion week tactics of street style regulars are practically old hat by now. But models, whether entering a show or exiting fully made-up in a designer’s wacky beauty look, are the ones who seem to have all the fun while keeping it honest.

Hanne Gaby Odiele has long since been the mistress of IDGAF, something she pulled off to a T once again this season. Spotted yesterday alongside Binx Walton, Odiele appears in a bucket hat, oversized jacket and velvet creepers. Earlier this week, Tommy Hilfiger’s football helmets made for the perfect model prop, and last night, these three embraced Jeremy Scott’s day-glo (slime-esque) looks by posing for multiple shots after the show. #Winning.
