Dreary, overcast skies had nothing on yesterday’s trendy kids who congregated outside of the tents at David Pecaut Square. And what better than a drab day to showcase a lineup of talented designers like Malorie Urbanovitch and Hayley Elsaesser who are always able to perk us up? Given that temps earlier this week called for elaborate furs and layers of heavy-duty leather, we couldn’t be more excited about this round up of quirky, statement-making (literally) ensembles.

The scene outside was all about practical footwear, with guests in sneakers ranging from the usual (Converse Chuck Taylors) to fashion-girl-cool (vibrant New Balances that would make Jenna Lyons proud) to #throwback (platforms à la Spice Girls).

Montreal bloggers, the Trollsen Twins, proclaimed their love for Atelier Wonder, decked out in the label’s looks. We also loved the printed Hayley Elsaesser look from the designer’s “Heavenly Bodies” collection. Pastels were also in full swing: head-to-toe mint pantsuits and ladylike overcoats in lilac and baby pink had us swooning. Lastly, can we just mention how much we’re feeling the male model post-Hayley Elsaesser who was channeling major Basquiat vibes?
